Do I need to separate my laundry?

There is no need to separate your colors and whites. We will do that for you. You should, however, be sure that your socks are not balled up, and that there aren't clothes inside of clothes, such as two shirts that you took off together, or shorts and sweats that came off together. These oversights will prevent your clothes from getting their cleanest and may result in color runs. We also suggest that women use garment bags for their bras and underwear to prevent damage and potential loss from the laundry machines (due to some of these garments being so small).

What about delicate items like sweaters?

If you would like something special done with your clothes, we will be more than happy to comply if possible. Simply put a note in your laundry bag with specific instructions, or tell us when you sign up online. If you can isolate the specific garments you want special care for, that helps make sure we get the right ones.

Will my laundry shrink?

If you are worried about something shrinking and don't want it to be dried, you may want to consider having it dry cleaned. 
You can also request having your clothes low-heat dried. We will gladly lower the heat on our dryers for you. This will not only reduce any shrinkage, but will also allow the clothing to smell fresher and there is no extra charge! There may still be some shrinking, however, with certain fabrics and especially with newer clothes.

How can I be sure that nothing is missing?

We weigh the clothes when we receive them (to the tenth of the pound) and we weigh them when they are completed, so we always know when there is a problem in the system. We use a sophisticated bar-coding system to keep track of laundry throughout the process. We also wash and dry all of our customers' stuff individually (never mixing customers' laundry). To further insure against any laundry mix-ups, and to maintain the highest standard in service, we utilize a video surveillance system that watches all of the clothing as it moves through our laundry system. If you think something is missing, you can tell us and we will immediately investigate. However, all claims of missing clothes must be made within three days of laundry delivery or we will not be liable.

My laundry item was damaged in your care, how can you fix this?

After determining that the damage was in fact done by our laundry machines and/or handling we will reimburse you fully for your item. according to IFI standards. Reimbursement for damaged items is performed at the discretion of the local manager.

Where do you provide laundry service?

Floor To Door Laundry is located in Elmhurst, Illinois and we currently provide service in the following areas.
North to Grand Ave., South to 22nd St., East to I-294, West to Westmore / Meyers Rd. We offer standard 2 day service, next day service and same day service

How do I buy or use gift cards?

We do sell gift cards you can buy as many as you want, no cash back is given for the gift cards therefore you will be issued a credit toward your next service date if you have a balance left. Just remember to mention your gift cards to us at the time of your pick up. You can buy gift cards for any occasion. You can call or email us to order.

Where are my clothes being laundered?

We own and operate our own laundry mat and your orders are processed in exceptionally clean facilities with commercial-grade, high efficiency equipment

Do you offer laundry service to travelers at local area hotels and motels?

Yes we do!!! Just fill out the form or give us a call, place your dirty laundry in a garbage bag or Hotel laundry bag with your name leave it at the front desk or concierge service and advise them that a Floor To Door Laundry Associate will be by to pick it up. Since most business people and traveling people need their laundry next day, be sure to mention on the form or to our staff that you will require next day service.

What if I am not home for scheduled pick-up or drop off?

You can leave your laundry with a friend, roommate or neighbor as long as you tell us who we are meeting when we come to pick-up or deliver your laundry. You are also welcome to leave it on your porch, at the door or anywhere outside as long as we know where to find it and where we should leave it when it is returned. Remember to be safe with the location you choose. We are not responsible for the contents while not in our possession.

Will my laundry be mixed with other people's laundry?

Absolutely NOT! Your laundry is washed separately and never combined with anyone else's, so this is not a problem.

How do I pay for my service?

Please provide us with credit card information for automatic payment. We keep your credit card information securely under lock and key and charge your card before processing.

Can you do my dry-cleaning too?

We are a Premier Wash ,Dry and Fold service processed by our own staff and our reputation is based on that service. We do not offer Dry Cleaning at this time however that may change in the future.

What if I want to cancel my service?

You use the service at your own leisure, whether it be weekly, bi weekly, monthly, Never a contract to sign or fee to cancel!

Will my information be private and safe?

Yes, we do everything possible to protect your information and privacy. See our Privacy Statement.

I have allergies and need to use special detergents. Can you handle this special need?

Sure. You will be responsible for providing your own detergent and we will not use any dryer sheets. We will store your detergent at our facility and will alert you when we are running low.
